COURTNEY- STUDIO & SOCIAL MEDIA ASSISTANT
Where did you grow up? What do you like about living in Edmonton?
My name is Courtney. I grew up in Calgary, AB – so I apologize in advance, but a part of my heart will always pull for the Flames. About ten years ago my family moved to Sherwood Park. I love living in the Edmonton area as there is SO much variety for one city – there is always something new to try or do!
What is your family like?
I am married to the most wonderful man in the world – literally the human equivalent of a teddy bear, without all the hair. He is kind, loyal and a person you can instantly be comfortable around. But the thing I’m most thankful for is he always lets me wiggle my cold toes under him to warm up and doesn’t complain one bit!
I am a kitty momma to two little fur balls we rescued about a year and a half ago. Growing up my family didn’t have pets as my Dad was allergic to really anything that had fur. So a few weeks before moving out with my now husband, I found myself at a pet store and fell in love with two kitties. I called him explaining how adorable they were and how we needed them in our life – his only response was “do whatever you want”. So I did! They were adopted that day. My husband adores them both and they are the perfect addition to our little family.
What are you passionate about?
I love being creative and crafting! Although I’m not necessarily the best at it, maybe on day I’ll create something that I feel deserves a place on our wall.
Sports and being active have always been a big part of my life. I was involved in a variety of things such as hockey, basketball and rugby. I love being surrounded by a group of people having a great time and doing something they love. Currently I’m not on a team, but I’m hoping in the New Year to start playing again!
Do you have a favorite/least favorite food?
My favourite food in the whole world is spaghetti carbonara (all about the carbs). I cannot stand anything with a weird or different texture. Eggs with a runny yolk? No thanks! Also, not a fan of sauces like ketchup, mustard, mayo ect. Definitely would describe myself as more of a “plain jane” when it comes to food – but I’m working on it!
Why do you work at Jennifer Kasper Photography?
I think the idea of being able to take a specific moment in time and being able to capture it in its authenticity is so special. I feel so lucky to the opportunity to be involved in helping capture those moments! I already love working at Jennifer Kasper Photography as the sessions are fun and allow individual personalities to come through. Jenn and I met as she shot my wedding last summer! From a customer side she exuded all the qualities you could ever want from a photographer – so I knew she would be excellent to work for!
